When downloading the game to get the new update, the game is not complete. There is no open game file and no method to access on-going games. Please take a look and let me know what information you need.
My pbem partner had the identical issue, the game is incomplete when newly downloaded.
We had some server issues recently, maybe it is the cause. Are you playing PC or Mac versions?
I have uploaded a new PC version that should be able to run. Note however that it won't read files / saves from games made with the older (pre-major update) version of the engine.

pc version. I will wait to update a few more days then as in mid-game at the moment.
