Dragoons of Tinta - Should read Deploy "the Dragoons of Tinta". Should their name be translated in English to "Tinta Dragoons"?
Tactical Surpise- The second sentence would perhaps be better as "They are shaken before combat occurs"
Joachin de la Pezuela - would be better as "....+1RP in Lima during some turns."
Portuguese Invasion- I think the word "no" should be removed, so it says a "Portuguese army can move towards...."
Veteran Officers- Officers is spelt "Officiers" at the top of the card.
Pareja at Valdivia- spelling should be "reconquest".
Royalist Cavalry- Spelling should be "additional"
Portuguese Retreat- Would be better saying "Thanks to the intervention of the British Ambassador the Portuguese......." Also spelling of Ambassador.
Invasion Request- Banda oriental, spelling should be "although".
Cards that didn't work, or appear to:
Cadiz last bastion card, played it in the first turn, just received it again turn 6, says it is removed from deck once played.
Played the Montevideo Fleet card which is meant to allow access to the pacific. I can't move further than 2 regions towards the Cape, it says "missing key expedition to Peru".
2 cards vanished after playing them, Reinforcements from Cadiz, 3 units via Panama?, not arrived.
And skip next purchase phase. Return of Bourbons?
Pezaula reinforcement card didn't work
Fixed texts. Please all text issues better in the other thread for texts issues.
I take not e regarding the othe issues, I have never received twice the Cadiz card.
The fleet should now mive without problems. New version underway to Steam
Just started a new game as the Royalists and one of the two cards I have been given is the "Cadiz last bastion" card which I have to play.
This gives the Patriots 1VP and increase the TI by 1. Should this be given to the Patriots instead? I don't want to give them an extra VP !
Does the rise in TI help the Royalists in the long run though?
I also noticed that the Patriots played 7 cards straight away at the beginning of turn 1. Is that WAD? Isn't there a 5 card limit for your hand?
The Cadiz last bastion card looks like it goes straight back to the main deck on the right hand side of the screen when you play it, it doesn't stay with the played cards on the left hand side of the screen.
Started again and this time the Cadiz last bastion played OK, it went to the left hand pile and stayed there.
I am seeing quite a few cards showing this behaviour, you think you play them OK, but they shoot off to the right hand side of the screen and back to the main deck of cards. They don't seem to stick on the played pile.........
The same thing happened to me.
Fight Against Privateers card seems to have some issues at present.
If I play it I lose the ability to go to the next phase, there is no arrow icon in the top right hand corner to click on to advance the game.
I can see there is a privateer unit in the zone just off the coast of Montiveo, it looks like the game is waiting for me to do something, but I can't click on this to make anything happen. I have to play the turn again and not play the card, everything is OK then.
Cavalry charge card doesn't seem to work.
I have just had it played for me in abattle against a solitary Patriot cavalry unit. Only one hit was inflicted by one of my units, no extra hit that the card is meant to give.
Combat cards needs a review in general, I will check what happens with the Fight against privateers, thanks
I will keep an eye too regarding weird behavior of cards
Cabildo's War card. This means the Patriots will lose a region if they have already taken Valdivia. You have to play it too.
Shouldn't this card be only handed to the Royalists?
Are there cards that can only be dealt to one side or the other? Or are cards just randomly dealt to either side and it's tough luck if you get one that doesn't help you?
There are two different decks and sometimes a card is present in both cards, one for each decks.
Yes, maybe that card could be royalist, I will think about that.
Captured ship card. What is it meant to do? I couldn't see any change in my forces. Am I meant to get a ship in a friendly port?
I suposse you are playing against the AI, I heve seen that today. You play the cards and nothing happens, this is because the card needs enemy ships at sea, I have to do something with this. It should be enogugh if cant play the card if there are no enemy ships in hte target regions.
If you play against human and the royalist blockades Buenos Aires you can take one ship from him (historic)
No effect on the regions of Mendoza, Santa Fe or Tucuman. I guess units should appear here?
Hard to say if it works for Chile, there are two units there though.
Not sure if it works for Salta as you get the Balcarce units arriving there at the same time.
Tactical surprise card
This is inflicting a strength point hit at the moment. Should it perhaps just inflict a morale hit instead of a strength point hit?
Republicquetas fight card
The text on this says something about 4 rolls. I clicked on the dice and did two rolls, both of which said the effect continues.
But then nothing afterwards, don't know if the effects worked or not..... No more dice rolls either.
Not sure if this working properly...
Needs an update on the text, it changes the control of several Royalist locations in Argnetina and Entre Rios
I've seen always 3 rolls, 4th looks bugged, but I can see why ....yet
Just seen the AI play the Veteran Officers card on the movement phase. It should be played in a battle phase shouldn't it? +1 CF?
Republiquetas fight card, only seen two rolls again.....
I see, thanks
War taxes card for the Patriots. Says it costs 3PV, (another case where it should be VP), to get 5RP. I got 5 RP although I only had 2VP to pay for it.
Receive unit of Ma....Indians in Concepcion. I saw this card get played during a battle.
This just targeted the leader Balcarc.
He is still in command of his stack, but now has dashes instead of numbers for his stats, apart from movement, that is still showing as 2.
The Patriot AI played the capture ship card. I had a fleet blockading Buenos Aires, but I didn't lose a ship, I still have 5 units there.
At the end of my current turn I have a card flashing with a green border. It is face down though, I can't see what it is. If I click on it it rotates in the middle of the screen. I can place it on the played cards deck but it is still face down. I think it was the blockade of Buenos Aires card?
Send me saved game if possible (regarding the capture ship card)
The other issue its a weird one, only happens sometimes and I saw it dissapeared after changing between applications in windows. I will try to fix it but as less important issue.
I can't count, I did lose a ship with the captured ship card. My stack starts with a strength of 6, not 5 :) I have just started again to check it and saw that I have 6 ships in the stack :)
New game as the Royalists and this time I managed to play the Blockade of Buenos Aires card.
It didn't look like it had any effect on the Patriots income though.....
I recall this worked, but I will check it
Military hospitals card. Royalists.
I have had it for quite a while now and haven't been able to play it.
Still got an issue with the fight against privateers card. If you play it you can't progress past that phase.
I can't remember what the card is called, but it was played by the Patriots during the battle phase. It was the one that removed the Portuguese army, this force is still there and active though.
Thanks Ebbingford, will check this three issues. Do you have a saved game for my own tests?
I haven't sorry. I have now moved on to Patriot side testing....
I will try and keep saves of things but with only one turn saved at a time it does make it a bit hard :)
You can save as many games as you want.
Yes, I must get into the habit of doing my own saves, instead of relying on the auto saves :)
I have just played the Portugese withdrawal card, playing as the patriots, and it worked, the Portugese forces withdrew next phase.
I think the problem arises when it is played as a "battle" card like I saw in my previous game.
thats weird, I will take a look, but it should not be played as a combat card never.
Republiquetas card again.
This time only got to do one dice roll, it said the effect is applied, then the game carries on, no second or third roll.
Will email the save to you.
thanks, I got the email ;)
Jose Bonepart Defeated card. On the turn that I play this I don't see two income in the line for income from cards, it says 0. The card is meant to increase Cadiz income by 2 for that turn. It might be showing in the resources from regions line. It says 12 for this turn, I can only count 8 or 9 by going round my regions though.....
It should be in the income from cards line shouldn't it?
Edit Just reloaded the turn and it increases the income of Cadiz from 2 to 4, so the effects of the card are in the resources from regions line.
It looks like it is not working though as the player doesn't see anything in the line for cards on the income summary.
Still can't work out how my income is arrive at though, it looks like I am getting 3 or 4 from somewhere that isn't showing anywhere....
I played it prior to the land movement phase. Selected which region I wanted to target, then clicked on the arrow of the confirmation box that pops up. Nothing then happened, I am straight into the movement phase, no units in the selected region were revealed.
But, were there hidden units?
OK, I see :)
I thought it let you see the make up of an enemy stack, so you could decide if you wanted to attack it.
I have tried it again on a region where you can see hidden units, ghost type counters, and it worked, the "ghost" counters appeared solid like normal ones. This is not a lot of good really, I knew the hidden units were there, I know nothing extra really through playing the card.
I think the espionage card would be better if it meant you could see what is in an enemy stack instead.
